Apple Pie Jello Shots



Ingredients:

  • 2 cups apple cider (not apple cider vinegar!)

  • 2 envelopes (.25 ounces each) unflavored gelatin

  • 1 & 1/2 cups apple whiskey , chilled

  • whipped cream , for serving, optional

  • cinnamon , for serving, optional

Instructions:


  • Place the plastic jello shot cups on a sheet pan without the lids on. Set aside.

  • Add the apple cider to a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Sprinkle the gelatin over the top of the liquid and stir to completely dissolve.

  • Remove the mixture from the heat and allow to cool for 15 minutes.

  • Stir the chilled apple whiskey into the gelatin mixture.

  • Pour the liquid into your little plastic cups, making sure not to overfill them.

  • Transfer sheet pan of jello shots into the refrigerator and chill for at least 4 hours or until they have completely set.

  • Put lids on cups and keep in the fridge until ready to serve.

  • Garnish with some homemade whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon to dress them up, if desired.
