Health Benefits of Essential Oils


First off you may be asking yourself what are essential oils? Essential oils to explain in simple terms are highly concentrated versions of the natural oils you find in plants. This process is done by distillation just like you would loose leaf tea leaves etc. You can do this with many things including Bark, Plant roots, Leaves, Stems, and Flowers. These oils have been known for centuries to have medical benefits, and provide great healing; The top three most used are Lavender, Peppermint, and Frankincense. Not only are the oils digestible so you can put them in Meals, Beverages, pills and so on but you can also inhale it, use it as a diffuser, put it in a bottle and use it as a roll on or spray it on your clothes, jewelry and so much more. These scents are all beneficial in so many ways and they do not effect your natural hormones. When rolled on it takes 22 min to reach the brain and when inhaled it takes only 20 min this is good medically for Pain, Nausea, Inflammation and memory. Each oil when applied to a different part of the skin sends reactors to the brain that help you some examples are If you rub or roll Lavender, Basil or Peppermint on the temples or back of the neck it reduces stress, nausea, motion sickness and insomnia.
