Social Distancing Halloween

How to make Halloween 2020 fun

Covid19 may have impacted us as a whole but that doesn't mean Halloween needs to be cancelled! To all the hard working overwhelmed parents this is a list of fun activities you can do with your kiddos and create some great memories to look back on.

Both kids and adults love decorations, skip the boring store bought ones and create your own. The dollar store is a great place to start for supplies. Take walks at night to see the different decorations in your neighborhood.

Set up a projector either on the garage or get an old white sheet and hang it up. Roast marshmallows, have a small little fire and watch movies under the stars. You can also use the projector to cast a Halloween scene on the house and when ready switch it over to Thanksgiving then Christmas!

Let's face it trick or treating may be out of the picture this year. Be sure to decorate the yard so you can hide Halloween candy in spooky areas and set the kids out on a Halloween Candy Hunt. This can be done inside, outside or both.

Have a Halloween movie marathon night. Gather up your favorite snacks and drinks, light the pumpkin and enjoy.

Carve a jack-o-lantern and roast the pumpkin seeds.

Have a Zoom costume party!

Make homemade chili and candy apples, have a small dinner party. Have plenty of masks and hand sanitizer.

Remember to have a safe, and distant Halloween!
