1. Create a unique budget each month

2. Choose what budget categories to use

3. Withdraw or keep cash for your envelopes

4. Label your envelopes

5. Split the money between each envelope

6. Use the money for that category only

7. Stop spending when the money runs out do not dig into other envelopes

8. Eliminate the use of credit cards/ debit cards
