Lights & Flights, Nov 22 Wednesday, November 22 from 5-8 p.m Complimentary family friendly activities inclusive of Ellecor Design & Gifts marshmallow bar, kids crafts, and photos with Santa & Mrs. Claus will begin at 5p.m. Farmers Market of the Ozarks will host a pre-Thanksgiving market with food & retail vendors, perfect for that last minute shopping. A flip of the switch at 6:30 p.m. will illuminate the Farmers Park development and reveal the centerpiece holiday installation, a 20-foot-tall LED orb tree, followed by a performance by Point Performing Arts and caroling by members of the Springfield Chamber Chorus. At 8 p.m. the event will transition to a Farmers Park interpretation of Springfield’s own Wild Turkey Wednesday featuring custom whiskey flights conceived by Barley, Wheat, and Rye Social House. This Event is FREE 23rd Annual Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot Nov 23 Turkey Trot 5K Walk/Run is held rain, snow or shine on Thursday, Nov. 23, 8 a.m., at the Springfield Expo Center, 635 E. St. Louis St., in downtown Springfield. Friday, Nov. 17, 5 p.m. $20 adults; $15 kids 12 and under. Visit website for early bird registration.
